I consider myself extremely lucky to have had dogs in my life from the moment I was born. Mostly working Labradors, Spaniels and Terriers. From a very young age I would go out across the fields with one of our Labradors and the bag of training dummies. I had no idea what I was doing, but I loved being with the dogs and watching them retrieve. A love that has only grown stonger.
I am the proud mum of three beautiful Labradors. My dogs are first and foremost companions but I do train them to be gundogs and we work together in the shooting field during the autumn and winter.
The newest addition to our family is another rescue ex-breeding Yellow Labrador. She was sadly used as a breeding bitch at a puppy farm in Wales. So happy to be giving her a much better life.
As part of following the new "Professional Dog Walkers Guidelines", I have made a commitment to furthering my knowledge of canine behaviour, care and welfare. My Continued Professional Development (CPD) will include attending courses, seminars & lectures; listening to industry podcasts & audiobooks and reading relevant books, journals & magazines.
